Vehicle Maintenance Analyst – Military Fleet

About the role

The Vehicle Maintenance Analyst will oversee maintenance and repair operations for a large fleet of military and civilian vehicles supporting a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures compliance with contract requirements, government regulations, and military standards while maximizing equipment availability and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Execute vehicle maintenance and recovery operations in line with contract, company, and military standards.
• Manage documentation such as warranties, Lost/Theft/Damaged/Destroyed (LTDD) reports, and Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD) submissions.
• Maintain accurate odometer readings and asset data in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Coordinate with managers, military personnel, suppliers, and vendors to resolve warranty issues and schedule maintenance.
• Ensure vehicles receive maintenance at manufacturer and military level‑10, –20/–30 intervals.
• Track repairs, verify proper recording, and produce timely reports.
• Implement budgeting, analysis, and reporting for the maintenance operation, monitoring burn rates and stock levels.
• Promote health, safety, and welfare of the team and enforce related guidelines.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of maintenance and supply principles for material handling, heavy trucks, and construction equipment.
• Familiarity with US military maintenance support systems, especially GCSS‑Army.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Relevant experience in vehicle fleet maintenance, preferably within government or defense contracts.
