Custodial Supervisor - Diego Garcia

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to support a US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The role carries primary responsibility for the day-to-day operations and management of housing and custodial infrastructure, including buildings, equipment and utilities, ensuring site operations comply with customer goals and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Establish work requirements, coordinate and complete short- and long-term projects, and oversee cleaning, temporary and permanent housing procedures.
• Manage objectives, strategy and performance through annual plans, budgets and monitoring against them; ensure cost-effective purchasing and inventory control.
• Maintain building integrity and electrical, water and air systems, and oversee HVAC and electrical maintenance and installations.
• Oversee facility operations, provide work and service requests, and implement safety policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports for senior management on facilities activities, construction and renovation projects.
• Employ, train and evaluate facilities staff, and coordinate housing assignments with USAG-KA representatives.

Required profile

• At least two years of experience in custodial service management; preferred at least five years of related management experience.
• High school degree or equivalent; must speak, read and comprehend English.
• Valid passport valid for at least one year at hire, able to obtain country-specific visas and pass contract medical requirements.
• Must obtain and maintain facility credentials and be able to work in a remote overseas environment, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of building operations and management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Preferred: strong organization, communication and negotiation skills, and previous experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
