Administrative Specialist – MSC Riding Gang

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Administrative Specialist to support the MSC Riding Gang program for the U.S. Navy on Diego Garcia. The role serves as the primary point of contact for personnel coordination, documentation, and logistical support for shipboard maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding, travel, crew‑list requirements, and documentation for Riding Gang personnel in line with U.S. Coast Guard and MSC regulations.
• Maintain personnel records, safety certifications, background checks, and training files.
• Track work assignments, labor hours, and project progress while vessels are underway or in port.
• Prepare logs, reports, and administrative documentation related to compliance and mission support.
• Assist with scheduling maintenance activities, procurement requests, material tracking, and logistical coordination of tools and supplies.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and ensure all actions meet MSC, Navy, Coast Guard, and Amentum standards.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in administrative support, maritime operations, or maintenance coordination.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in administration, logistics, or maritime operations is preferred.
• Valid passport (minimum one year beyond hire date) and ability to travel internationally.
• Ability to meet contract medical requirements and obtain necessary facility credentials.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to secure country‑specific visas.
