About the role
Amentum is seeking a Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator to support a U.S. Navy program on the remote island of Diego Garcia. The role involves producing high‑quality printed materials in line with Navy standards while working in an austere, multi‑national environment.
Key responsibilities
- Set up screens, prepare inks, and align materials for production.
- Operate manual or automated presses to create accurate prints.
- Monitor press operations, adjust settings, and inspect finished products for color accuracy and registration.
- Follow production schedules, maintain consistent output, and adhere to safety procedures.
- Clean and maintain screens and press equipment.
- Manage ink and supply inventory and document production output.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Required profile
- 1–3 years of experience in silk screen printing, press operations, or a related production environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods.
- Valid passport (minimum one year beyond hire date) and ability to travel internationally.
- Pass contract medical requirements and obtain necessary facility credentials.
