About the role
The COMSEC Manager will support Satellite Control Network Operations for the STORMS contract at Diego Garcia, ensuring the security and operability of communications‑electronics equipment at Remote Tracking Stations.
Key responsibilities
- Enforce proper receipt, transfer, accountability, safeguarding, and destruction of keying material and equipment in line with NSA CSPM No. 3‑16.
- Maintain secure equipment inventories, conduct inspections, troubleshoot, and provide COMSEC oversight.
- Lead all COMSEC investigations and adhere to security procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to balance customer demands with COMSEC compliance.
- Train personnel on COMSEC procedures and equipment use.
- Perform courier duties for COMSEC material and equipment.
- Publish and maintain security directives, policies, and procedures.
Required profile
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for Special Access Program information.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related field, OR 2+ years relevant experience.
- Prior experience in communication security with strong COMSEC accountability knowledge.
- Previous NSA or KMI COMSEC certification/training.
- Experience working in an SAP and SCI environment.
Required skills
- Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) operation.
- Crypto key generation and distribution.
- COMSEC Accounting, Reporting & Distribution System (CARDS).
- Troubleshooting of COMSEC equipment, including legacy devices.
- Knowledge of Windows‑based information systems.
