Automotive Body Repairer – US Navy Program (Diego Garcia)

About the role

We are looking for an Automotive Body Repairer to join Amentum’s team supporting a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves repairing and preparing military vehicles to manufacturer standards while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Repair vehicles according to estimates and manufacturer specifications.
• Verify parts against estimates, order and receive correct components.
• Prepare vehicles for body repair work and notify management of additional repairs or issues.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Wear required PPE, including respirators, and follow hazardous material regulations.
• Report deviations and cooperate with other personnel in vehicle prep and repair.
• Operate all tools and equipment safely and perform other assigned tasks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of related automotive body repair experience or equivalent training.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain facility credentials.
• Ability to read safety rules, technical manuals and write routine reports.
• Previous experience in an austere OCONUS environment is a plus.
