Synchrolift Electrical Control Operator

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Synchrolift Electrical Control Operator to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The role involves operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical control systems that enable safe and reliable dry‑docking and undocking operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Synchrolift electrical control systems during vessel docking and undocking operations.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Motor Control Center (MCC) systems and related electrical components.
• Diagnose electrical faults, conduct routine inspections, and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and system failures affecting Synchrolift operations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with a strong electrical background.
• Experience operating and maintaining complex electrical systems, including knowledge of Motor Control Center operations.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas and facility credentials.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and comply with safety and security standards.
