Maintenance Mechanic – Facility & Equipment Repair

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform maintenance and repair of facilities and mechanical equipment under the supervision of a Journeyman Mechanic or higher‑level craftsman. This position ensures all machinery operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and maintain engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines using hand and power tools.
• Dismantle devices with hoists, cranes, and hand tools to replace defective parts.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, and test equipment such as pumps, compressors, fans, and airfield support gear.
• Inspect parts for dimensional changes using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Lubricate, clean, and perform routine inspections while following all safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proficient in English (read, write, speak).
• Four years of experience in mechanical equipment maintenance or a full apprenticeship.
• Valid professional driver’s licence with Restriction Code 2.
• Pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.

Required skills

• Use of hand tools, power tools, and precision‑measuring instruments.
• Operation of hoists, cranes, calipers, and micrometers.
• Knowledge of mechanical theory, hydraulics, lubricants, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
