POL System Dispatcher - Diego Garcia

About the role

Amentum is seeking a POL System Dispatcher to support a unique U.S. Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The role monitors, coordinates and dispatches Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants (POL) operations covering fuel distribution, storage and handling, and keeps accurate logs and dispatch records in line with Navy and program standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, coordinate and dispatch POL operations, tracking fuel movements, tank levels, equipment status and operational requirements
• Receive, document and relay work requests, service needs and operational updates to POL teams, supervisors and support personnel
• Maintain logs, dispatch records, fuel usage reports and operational documentation
• Communicate with field personnel, maintenance teams and leadership to ensure safe and efficient execution of POL tasks
• Support scheduling of fuel deliveries, equipment usage and routine or corrective maintenance
• Follow radio, phone and digital communication procedures, and assist with emergency response to spills, equipment failures or safety incidents
• Comply with environmental, safety and regulatory requirements, report issues and delays, and adhere to occupational safety and health standards
• Perform other duties assigned consistent with the position

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in dispatching, fuel operations, logistics coordination or related industrial environments
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid passport valid at least one year beyond hire date, and ability to obtain country-specific visas and pass contract medical requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials
• English spoken, read and understood to the extent needed for the contract
• Willingness to work in a remote overseas location with possible evening, weekend and holiday shifts

Preferred qualifications

• Experience supporting Navy, DoD or industrial fuel operations
• Familiarity with POL systems, dispatch procedures and fuel handling standards
• Previous experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce
• Valid country driver's license
