POL (Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants) Superintendent

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Petroleum, Oil and Lubricant (POL) Superintendent to support a government contract on the island of Diego Garcia. The role covers supervision of receipt, storage, testing and distribution of fuel and lubricants, ensuring safety, quality control and environmental compliance, in line with the Performance Work Statement and Amentum's ISO 9001 Quality Management System. The position is pending contract award.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily fuel operations, distribution and inventory for POL
• Develop and continuously improve safety processes and process improvements across the area of responsibility
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Be available within 30 minutes to meet with Government personnel or program leadership 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Comply with safety, quality and procedure requirements, including emergency response and safety committee participation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline preferred; two years of related experience may substitute for each year of the four years of college
• At least 10 years of experience in liquid fuels and fuel terminal operations, including 4 years in a supervisory capacity
• 2 years of specialized experience with pressure-type hydrant and pantograph fuel systems
• 3 years in a leadership role in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport and driver's license, a Secret US Government clearance (US citizenship required), and country-specific visas as needed
• Ability to pass medical contract requirements and meet the physical demands of a remote overseas assignment
