NGIS Warehouse Specialist

About the role

Amentum is seeking an NGIS Warehouse Specialist to support a unique U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves managing warehouse operations, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a remote overseas environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with overseeing daily warehouse operations and verify daily receiving and shipping reports.
• Remove material from storage, prepare shipments, and advise supervisors on discrepancies or damages.
• Store, stack, or palletize materials for storage or shipment and provide leadership/training to Warehousemen.
• File paperwork per documented procedures, enforce safety and environmental practices, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least four years of warehouse experience.
• Valid passport (minimum one year validity) and ability to obtain required visas and facility credentials.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain deployment readiness.
• Proficiency in English for reading, speaking, and comprehension of emergency procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of hand or power trucks, including forklifts.
• Advanced knowledge of Government Furnished Property (GFP) handling and FAR 52.245-1.
• Familiarity with DLA/DS processes, DCMA ETOOLs, and handheld scanner transactions.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications on a personal computer.
