Patrol Boat Operator

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Patrol Boat Operator to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves operating patrol boats, conducting surveillance, and performing rescue operations to ensure the safety of watercraft and personnel in the designated maritime area.

Key responsibilities

• Operate patrol boats to verify that all craft are operational and accounted for.
• Conduct regular patrols, monitor personnel aboard watercraft, and detect anomalies or unauthorized activity.
• Record and log verifications, personnel counts, and incidents in accordance with NAVSUPPFACDGINST 3130.3 series.
• Initiate and coordinate rescue operations following Navy protocols.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of boat equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience operating small boats in patrol, security, or rescue roles.
• Physical fitness to manage emergency or rescue operations and pass contract medical, swimming, and fitness requirements.
• Ability to work in an austere OCONUS environment with a multinational workforce.
