Senior MWR Accountant

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) financial operations for a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role focuses on accurate accounting, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an accounting calendar and oversee month‑end close processes.
• Generate and submit financial reports from SAP, FoodTrak, Micros, and AIMS according to CNIC schedules.
• Prepare Uniform Funding Management MOA billing, consolidating expenses and supporting documentation on Form 1034.
• Ensure compliance with Navy guidance (CNICINST 1710.3) for all MWR accounting activities.
• Track revenue, allocate expenses, and perform reconciliations, analyses, and audits.
• Participate in Navy MWR Star Service and AECR training to uphold customer‑service standards.
• Manage hazardous‑material procedures and maintain current CPR certification.

Required profile

• Senior‑level accounting or financial‑management experience.
• Familiarity with SAP, FoodTrak, Micros, and AIMS or equivalent systems.
• Proven ability to prepare financial reports and manage billing under federal regulations.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Understanding of Navy customer‑service programs and willingness to complete related training.
