Maintenance & Repair Supervisor (M&R)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Maintenance & Repair (M&R) Supervisor to lead the upkeep of Non‑Tactical Vehicle Equipment, Weight Handling Equipment, Material Handling Equipment, and Ordnance Handling Equipment for a critical U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves supervising mechanics, planning maintenance, and ensuring equipment reliability while adhering to strict safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and repair of NTVE, WHE, MHE, and OHE to maintain operational readiness.
• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to maximize equipment availability.
• Diagnose complex equipment issues, troubleshoot malfunctions, and determine effective repair methods.
• Lead a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight.
• Monitor workflow, assign resources to priority tasks, and address delays.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment performance.
• Enforce compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct inspections to verify repair quality and operational readiness.
• Manage inventory of tools, consumables, and spare parts for efficient stock control.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and departments on mission‑critical projects.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of journeyman‑level experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Experience with Non‑Tactical Vehicle Equipment, Weight Handling Equipment, Material Handling Equipment, or Ordnance Handling Equipment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to follow occupational safety and health standards and use personal protective equipment consistently.
• Strong organizational skills to plan maintenance schedules and manage documentation.
