About the role
Amentum is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support a unique U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves managing inbound and outbound warehouse activities, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining safe handling of materials in an austere overseas environment.
Key responsibilities
- Verify all items received and shipped, noting discrepancies or damage.
- Remove material from storage, prepare shipments, and palletize or stack as required.
- Maintain and reconcile daily receiving reports and shipping logs.
- Requisition, store, and track shipping supplies and inventory.
- File paperwork according to established procedures and route incoming items within the organization.
- Maintain related records and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with proper packaging methods and ability to interpret visual packaging instructions.
- Valid passport (minimum one year validity at hire) and ability to travel internationally.
- Pass contract medical requirements and obtain/maintain facility credentials and any required visas.
- Proficiency in reading, speaking, and comprehending English.
Required skills
- Personal computer operation.
- Safe operation of warehouse equipment.
