POL System Dispatcher

About the role

Amentum is seeking a POL System Dispatcher to support a unique U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The dispatcher will coordinate petroleum, oils, and lubricants (POL) operations, ensuring safe and efficient fuel distribution, storage, and handling for the installation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, coordinate, and dispatch POL operations using approved systems.
• Track fuel movements, tank levels, equipment status, and operational requirements.
• Receive, document, and relay work requests and service needs to POL teams and supervisors.
• Maintain accurate logs, dispatch records, fuel usage reports, and documentation in line with Navy standards.
• Communicate with field personnel, maintenance teams, and leadership to ensure safe execution of tasks.
• Support scheduling of fuel deliveries, equipment usage, and maintenance activities.
• Follow radio, phone, and digital communication procedures during dispatch.
• Assist with emergency response coordination for spills, equipment failures, or safety incidents.
• Adhere to all environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in dispatching, fuel operations, logistics coordination, or a related industrial environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining beyond hire date and ability to obtain required visas.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain facility credentials.
• Proficient in English (reading, speaking, comprehension) for contract performance and emergency procedures.
