Galley Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

The Galley Warehouse Supervisor will lead daily operations of the galley warehouse supporting a critical U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of food‑service supplies, equipment, and Government Furnished Property while maintaining compliance with federal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, inventory tracking, and outbound shipments.
• Verify daily receiving reports, shipping logs, and inventory transactions for accuracy.
• Inspect incoming shipments for shortages, overages, or damage and report discrepancies.
• Maintain accountability of Government Furnished Property in line with FAR and DCMR requirements.
• Utilize handheld scanners and computerized warehouse management systems to process inventory movements.
• Train, mentor, and direct warehouse personnel, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
• Coordinate disposition and disposal of government property according to established procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least four years of warehouse experience, preferably in government, military, logistics, or supply operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage inventory and property accountability.
