Dispatcher (Transportation) – USAF Support

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Dispatcher to provide transportation support for a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves coordinating the dispatch of government‑owned and rental vehicles, ensuring timely and safe delivery of transportation services to U.S. Government personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Dispatch transportation vehicles and equipment for scheduled and unscheduled missions, meeting strict time standards (±15 minutes during normal hours, within two hours after hours).
• Ensure B‑Pool, C‑Pool, and rental vehicles are used exclusively by U.S. Government personnel in compliance with regulations.
• Perform vehicle and equipment inspections at check‑out and check‑in, documenting discrepancies on NAVFAC Form 11260/4, NAVFAC Form 9‑11240/13, and the Operator’s Daily Checklist.
• Maintain accurate logs of dispatch activities, vehicle assignments, usage, and condition reports.
• Monitor fleet availability, coordinate schedules, and optimize vehicle utilization.
• Communicate trip details, special requirements, and instructions to government personnel and operators.
• Assist operators with equipment discrepancies and coordinate maintenance to keep the fleet in optimal condition.
• Enforce safety standards, PPE use, and occupational health protocols to sustain a zero‑injury environment.
