WTP Laboratory Director

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Laboratory Director to lead laboratory operations for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures compliance with quality assurance criteria, regulatory standards, and program requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all laboratory operations, including testing, QA, reporting, and instrument calibration.
• Develop and maintain QA programs to meet CNIC M-5090.1A and other regulatory standards.
• Oversee staff training, proficiency testing, and performance monitoring.
• Serve as primary contact for regulatory inquiries, audits, and inspections.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certification preferred.
• Minimum five years managing laboratory operations, preferably in water treatment environments.
• Experience in OCONUS or remote austere locations with multinational teams.
• Ability to obtain required visas, pass medical and security clearances, and hold a passport valid for at least one year.
