Concurrent Servicing Supervisor / Vent Monitor

About the role

Amentum is recruiting a Concurrent Servicing Supervisor / Vent Monitor to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory. The role oversees and monitors concurrent aircraft servicing operations in line with US Navy, Department of Defense and aviation safety standards, ensuring that fueling and servicing carried out at the same time as other maintenance or cargo operations remain strictly compliant with safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise fueling and servicing activities conducted simultaneously with other aircraft maintenance or cargo operations.
• Ensure proper ventilation during fueling, monitor vapor levels and verify that safety equipment and grounding procedures are in place.
• Maintain continuous observation of servicing areas, identify unsafe conditions and stop operations immediately when safety risks appear.
• Coordinate with fuel handlers, aircrew, maintenance personnel and operations leadership, document concurrent servicing activities and enforce safety standards.
• Provide on-the-job guidance to assigned personnel and comply with all occupational safety and health standards, rules and orders.
• Use PPE correctly, report workplace hazards proactively and follow safety protocols to maintain a zero-injury environment.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in aircraft servicing, aviation operations, fuel operations or safety monitoring.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport valid for at least one year beyond the hire date, and ability to obtain country-specific visas and pass contract medical requirements.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend English to the extent required by the contract.
• Willingness to work in a remote overseas environment, including evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours, and exposure to heat, humidity, noise, dust and uneven terrain.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and to meet medical, security and deployment requirements.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of concurrent servicing procedures, aviation safety standards and fuel handling operations.
• Ability to monitor operations continuously and respond quickly to hazardous conditions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to enforce safety requirements.
• Preferred: previous experience as a Concurrent Servicing Supervisor or Vent Monitor, experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce, familiarity with Navy or DoD aviation fueling and ground safety regulations, prior supervisory experience, a valid country driver's license.
