Transportation Dispatcher

About the role

We are looking for a Dispatcher (Transportation) to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures timely dispatch of government‑owned vehicles and equipment, maintains accurate records, and upholds safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Dispatch B‑Pool, C‑Pool and rental vehicles exclusively for U.S. Government personnel, meeting 15‑minute response times during normal hours and two‑hour windows after hours.
• Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled trips, communicate assignments and special instructions to operators.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment at checkout and return, document any discrepancies, and report maintenance needs.
• Complete and maintain required forms such as NAVFAC Form 11260/4, NAVFAC Form 9‑11240/13, and the Operator’s Daily Checklist.
• Maintain usage logs, mileage records and ensure optimal fleet utilization.
• Provide customer service to government personnel, addressing scheduling questions promptly.
• Enforce transportation policies and adhere to occupational safety and health standards, including PPE usage.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in dispatching, transportation coordination or logistics services.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections and record‑keeping.
• Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and use personal protective equipment.
