Tennis Instructor

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Tennis Instructor to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves delivering professional tennis lessons and fostering a positive learning environment for participants of all skill levels.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 20 hours of tennis lessons per week for individuals and groups of varying skill levels and ages.
• Teach fundamentals, techniques, strategies, and rules to beginner, intermediate, and advanced players.
• Organize practice drills, matches, and conditioning exercises to enhance performance.
• Maintain courts, nets, and equipment to safety and performance standards.
• Prepare lesson plans, manage equipment distribution, and ensure a friendly, inclusive atmosphere.

Required profile

• Certification or documented experience as a Tennis Instructor (USPTA, PTR, or equivalent).
• Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications (CPR, First Aid, AED) and annual recertification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Valid passport (minimum 1 year) and ability to travel internationally.
• Pass contract medical, security, and deployment requirements.

• Proven ability to teach tennis to individuals of varying skill levels and ages.
• Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and scheduling.
• Capability to maintain tennis equipment and facilities.
