NGIS Accounting Technician

About the role

Amentum is seeking an NGIS Accounting Technician to support a US Navy hospitality program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures financial integrity of Navy Gateway Inns and Suites operations through accounting, reporting, and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Process financial transactions, perform account reconciliations, and track expenditures.
• Maintain accounting records and documentation in compliance with Navy and company protocols.
• Verify and post business transaction details, including revenues, expenses, and refunds.
• Collaborate with hospitality staff and management to provide accurate financial reporting for hotel operations.
• Identify discrepancies and work with management to resolve accounting issues.
• Assist in financial audits by supplying up‑to‑date data and supporting documentation.
• Use financial management software to record and track operational data, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
• Produce reports and summaries, such as profit and loss statements, for management review.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of accounting experience, preferably in hotel management or hospitality services.
• At least one year of formal education in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing processes, reconciliations, and financial tracking.
• Valid passport with at least one year of validity and ability to obtain required visas.
