Fuel Equipment Operator / Driver

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Fuel Equipment Operator / Driver to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves operating and handling specialized fuel equipment, forklifts, and vehicles while ensuring strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operating specialized equipment such as forklifts, fuel and defuel systems, and truck fill equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
• Supporting refueling and defueling operations at flight aprons or other designated areas.
• Driving assigned vehicles, ensuring proper permits, conducting inspections, and reporting any mechanical or operational issues.
• Maintaining equipment readiness, performing routine checks, and documenting maintenance activities.
• Ensuring compliance with POL regulations, NAVFAC P‑300, NAVAIR 00‑80T‑109, and AFI 36‑2201 guidelines.

Required profile

• Valid operator’s permit or learner’s permit for the required equipment.
• Ability to work on‑site at Diego Garcia and follow strict safety protocols.
• Attention to detail for documentation and compliance reporting.
• Willingness to complete and maintain required training and certifications.
