Fuel Distribution System Operator

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Fuel Distribution System Operator to support a critical U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves managing the safe storage, handling, and distribution of petroleum products to ensure uninterrupted mission‑critical fuel supply.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain constant‑pressure fuel dispensing and storage systems in line with industry and government standards.
• Monitor fuel quality, flow rates, and inventory levels, and conduct routine inspections of pumps, valves, tanks, and pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, Navy, and environmental regulations governing hazardous material handling.
• Record and report fuel receipt, storage, and distribution metrics, maintaining accurate logs and inventory reports.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and safety hazard reporting to maintain a zero‑injury environment.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in petroleum storage and distribution.
• Demonstrated ability to follow strict safety protocols and use personal protective equipment.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and compliance reporting.

Required skills
