Distribution Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Distribution Manager to support a unique U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role oversees all contract matters and daily distribution operations, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with government and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary government point of contact for the contract.
• Manage day‑to‑day execution, oversight, and subcontractor coordination.
• Ensure compliance with performance, reporting, and safety requirements.
• Oversee personnel scheduling, work supervision, and quality control.
• Monitor cost control, financial reporting, budgeting, and overall operating costs.
• Develop, implement, and enforce procedures to increase efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of logistics or contingency operations management experience.
• At least three years as a warehouse manager or foreman, preferably on government contracts.
• Experience managing projects, contracts, funds, and resources.
• Certification in Material Management and Storage Operations, including HAZMAT and HAZMIN.
• Certification as a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operator.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet medical and visa requirements.
• Fluent English comprehension and communication.
