Dispatcher – Transportation (USAF)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Dispatcher (Transportation) to support a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves organizing and overseeing the dispatch of transportation vehicles and equipment for U.S. Government personnel, ensuring timely and safe delivery in accordance with strict guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide efficient dispatch services for scheduled and unscheduled transportation assignments.
• Ensure B‑Pool, C‑Pool, and rental vehicles are used exclusively by U.S. Government personnel and comply with all regulations.
• Maintain vehicle availability within ±15 minutes during normal hours and within two hours after hours.
• Supervise and perform vehicle/equipment inspections at check‑out and check‑in, completing NAVFAC Form 11260/4, NAVFAC Form 9‑11240/13, and Operator’s Daily Checklist.
• Keep accurate logs of dispatch activities, vehicle assignments, usage, and condition reports.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure all assets are in optimal operating condition.
• Communicate trip details, special requirements, and operational instructions to government personnel and operators.
• Enforce safety standards, use personal protective equipment, and report hazards to maintain a zero‑injury environment.

Required profile

• Experience in vehicle dispatch, fleet management, or related transportation logistics.
• Familiarity with U.S. Government transportation regulations and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections and record‑keeping.
• Ability to work under strict time constraints and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
