Cement Mason for US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Cement Mason to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves construction, remodeling, and renovation tasks in a remote overseas environment, reporting to program leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace and comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements.
• Repair, maintain, and alter buildings, mix mortar, and lay bricks or concrete sidewalks.
• Finish concrete surfaces, install and repair tile floors, and perform related carpentry work.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on concrete projects.

Required profile

• Three years of comparable masonry experience or trade school training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one year) and ability to obtain required visas and facility credentials.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment and meet medical and security requirements.

Required skills

• Concrete mixing and finishing techniques.
• Use of hand tools and power tools such as floats, trowels, screeds, and pneumatic equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
