Crane Operator / Rigger Foreman

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Crane Operator/Rigger Foreman to support a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves overseeing crane operations, supervising rigging activities, and ensuring safety and compliance with NAVFAC P-307 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate cranes safely in accordance with NAVFAC P-307 and related regulations.
• Supervise rigging personnel, provide training, and ensure proper communication using crane hand signals.
• Inspect and maintain rigging tools, slings, hardware, and crane equipment.
• Develop, review, and implement lift plans, evaluating loads, weather, and site conditions.
• Coordinate daily work activities, monitor progress, and report safety or equipment issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating cranes and performing rigging operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and visas for overseas deployment.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining validity.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain facility credentials.
