About the role
We are looking for a Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator to join Amentum’s team supporting a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves operating silk‑screen and press equipment to produce high‑quality printed materials that meet Navy specifications in a remote, mission‑critical environment.
Key responsibilities
- Set up screens, mix and prepare inks, and align substrates for each print run.
- Operate manual or automated presses, monitor settings, and adjust parameters to maintain color accuracy and registration.
- Inspect finished prints for quality, ensuring compliance with Navy standards.
- Maintain production schedules, document output, and manage inventory of inks and supplies.
- Clean and service screens and press equipment, and keep the work area orderly and safe.
Required profile
- 1–3 years of experience in silk‑screen printing, press operations, or a similar production environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid passport (minimum one year beyond hire date) and ability to travel internationally.
- Ability to pass contract medical requirements and obtain necessary facility credentials.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle materials.
