About the role
The Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator will operate silk‑screen and press equipment to produce high‑quality printed materials for a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role supports mission‑critical printing in a remote, austere environment.
Key responsibilities
- Set up screens, prepare inks and align materials for production runs.
- Operate manual or automated presses to produce accurate prints meeting Navy quality standards.
- Monitor press operations, adjust settings, and inspect finished products for color accuracy, registration and overall quality.
- Maintain production schedules, manage ink and supply inventory, and document output.
- Clean and maintain screens and press equipment and keep the workspace orderly.
Required profile
- 1–3 years of experience in silk‑screen printing, press operations or a related production environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid passport (minimum one year beyond hire date) and ability to travel internationally.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials.
- Ability to pass contract medical requirements and obtain necessary facility credentials.
