Ship's Store Supervisor

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Ship's Store Supervisor to manage retail and warehousing activities for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. Reporting to the Ship’s Store Service Activities Supervisor, you will ensure smooth daily operations, compliance with Navy supply standards, and excellent customer service for store patrons.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day retail and warehouse functions, including stocking, rotation, and inventory maintenance.
• Supervise receipt, storage, and distribution of goods while adhering to Navy policies.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and operational expenses.
• Train, schedule, and coordinate store and warehouse staff to meet productivity and compliance goals.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory reports for senior supervision.
• Conduct inventory audits and enforce standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience managing a Navy supply system or a comparable retail operation.
• Strong understanding of retail and warehouse processes, including loss prevention.
• Ability to lead, train, and enforce safety and operational standards.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with team members, supervisors, and government representatives.
• Capability to pass contract medical requirements and remain compliant throughout deployment.
