MWR Senior Accountant

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) financial operations for a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures accurate accounting, regulatory compliance, and high‑level customer service in a unique overseas environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an accounting calendar and oversee month‑end close processes.
• Generate and submit financial reports from SAP, FoodTrak, Micros, and AIMS according to CNIC schedules.
• Prepare Uniform Funding Management Memorandum of Agreement (UFM MOA) billing and supporting documentation on Form 1034.
• Ensure compliance with Navy guidance (CNICINST 1710.3) for all accounting activities.
• Track revenue, allocate expenses, and manage hazardous‑material procedures, including CPR certification.
• Perform reconciliations, analyses, and audits for all MWR‑related accounts.
• Maintain complete financial records and deliver reports to stakeholders on time.

Required profile

• Senior‑level accounting or financial‑management experience.
• Familiarity with federal billing regulations and the AIMS User’s Handbook.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Understanding of Navy MWR customer‑service programs (Star Service, AECR) or willingness to complete training.
