Medium Truck Driver – Operations Support

About the role

Amentum is seeking a reliable Medium Truck Driver to support critical operations on the island of Diego Garcia. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods, equipment, and materials across the base while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate medium‑duty trucks to move cargo efficiently within the operational area.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo in compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery records.
• Follow planned routes and schedules, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
• Perform minor vehicle maintenance such as checking fluid levels, tire condition, and lights.
• Communicate with supervisors, dispatchers, and operational teams to coordinate transportation needs.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of experience driving medium‑duty trucks in an operational or industrial setting.
• Valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements for medium‑duty vehicles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, comprehension).
• Valid passport (minimum one year) and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to pass and maintain contract medical requirements.
