Galley Warehouse Specialist

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Galley Warehouse Specialist to support a unique U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role oversees all food warehouse operations, ensuring reliable logistics support, inventory accountability, and compliance with company and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate daily Class I warehouse and logistics activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using FIFO procedures to minimize waste.
• Supervise logistics personnel, schedule work assignments and monitor performance.
• Conduct regular and special inventories to verify accuracy and accountability.
• Manage property transfers, receipts, issues, turn‑ins and related documentation.
• Update logistics databases and generate reports for customers and management.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, coordinate corrective actions and escalate unresolved issues.
• Develop and revise local supply procedures, policies and operational guidance.
• Ensure a safe, clean and organized warehouse environment in line with safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Education or certification in logistics, supply chain management or a related field.
• Experience in food or general warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Ability to supervise personnel and enforce compliance with policies.
• Strong analytical skills for researching and resolving supply discrepancies.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FIFO inventory procedures.
• Proficiency in inventory management and logistics documentation.
