Waiter / Waitress for US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a professional Waiter/Waitress to join a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will work in a full‑service restaurant or club environment, delivering high‑quality service while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take customer orders, deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately.
• Answer menu questions, provide recommendations, and anticipate guest needs.
• Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and diplomacy.
• Maintain clean, organized dining areas and set tables with appropriate linens, silverware, and glassware.
• Assist with end‑of‑shift duties such as cleaning, organizing, and restocking supplies.
• Collaborate with wait staff, kitchen personnel, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Complete required training and certifications and uphold all safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of satisfactory experience as a server in a full‑service restaurant or club.
• Strong verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse customer base.
• Capacity to remain composed in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• CPR/AED certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Food Safety and Sanitation training.
• Alcohol Server Intervention training (if applicable).
• Customer Service training with annual recertification.
