Tennis Instructor

About the role

Amentum is seeking a qualified Tennis Instructor to deliver professional tennis lessons for a US Navy recreation program on Diego Garcia. The role involves teaching individuals and groups of varying skill levels while maintaining a safe, engaging, and high‑performance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide up to 20 hours per week of tennis instruction for beginners, intermediate and advanced players.
• Develop and deliver lesson plans, drills, matches and conditioning exercises tailored to each participant.
• Maintain tennis courts, nets, racquets, balls and other equipment to safety and performance standards.
• Organize practice sessions, tournaments and group activities in line with Navy MWR guidelines.
• Offer courteous customer service, give feedback, answer questions and foster an inclusive atmosphere.

Required profile

• Certification or documented experience as a Tennis Instructor (USPTA, PTR or equivalent).
• Proven ability to coach players of all ages and skill levels.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Organizational ability to plan lessons and manage schedules.
• Willingness and ability to meet contract medical requirements for deployment.
