Silk Screen & Press Operator – US Navy Program

About the role

We are looking for a Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator to join Amentum’s US Navy program on the remote island of Diego Garcia. The role involves operating silk‑screen and press equipment to produce high‑quality printed materials that meet Navy specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up screens, prepare inks and align materials for each print run.
• Operate manual or automated presses, monitor operations and adjust settings to maintain color accuracy and registration.
• Inspect finished products for quality, document output and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Maintain and clean screens and press equipment, manage ink and supply inventory.
• Keep the work area orderly and support production schedules in an austere, multi‑national environment.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in silk screen printing, press operations or a similar production setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials.
• Valid passport (minimum one year beyond hire date) and ability to pass contract medical requirements.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain facility credentials and any required visas.
