Silk Screen & Press Operator – U.S. Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator to support a critical U.S. Navy program on the remote island of Diego Garcia. The role involves operating silk‑screen and press equipment to produce high‑quality printed materials that meet Navy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up screens, prepare inks, and align materials for each print run.
• Operate manual or automated presses, monitor operations, and adjust settings to maintain color accuracy and registration.
• Inspect finished products for quality, document output, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Clean and maintain screens, presses, and related equipment.
• Manage ink and supply inventory and keep the workspace orderly.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in silk‑screen printing, press operations, or a similar production environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow detailed production specifications and quality standards.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle materials.
• Valid passport (minimum one year beyond hire date) and ability to travel internationally.
• Pass contract medical requirements and obtain/maintain facility credentials.
