About the role
Amentum is seeking a Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator to support a U.S. Navy program on the remote island of Diego Garcia. The role involves operating screen‑printing and press equipment to produce high‑quality printed materials that meet Navy standards.
Key responsibilities
- Set up screens, prepare inks, and align materials for production runs.
- Operate manual or automated presses, monitor operations, and adjust settings as needed.
- Inspect finished prints for color accuracy, registration, and overall quality.
- Maintain production schedules, record output, and manage inventory of inks and supplies.
- Clean and maintain screens and press equipment, and keep the workspace orderly.
Required profile
- 1–3 years of experience in silk screen printing, press operations, or a related production environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid passport (minimum one year beyond hire date) and ability to travel internationally.
- Ability to pass contract medical requirements and obtain necessary facility credentials.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials.
