Sight and Sound Supervisor – Live Event AV Specialist

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Sight and Sound Supervisor to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role oversees live‑event audio‑visual operations, ensuring high‑quality sound and lighting for all performances and presentations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate live sound mixing consoles to deliver clear, balanced audio during events.
• Set up, configure, and position lighting and sound equipment to achieve desired visual and auditory effects.
• Maintain, repair, and calibrate sight and sound systems, performing routine inspections to extend equipment lifespan.
• Detect and resolve quality deviations or equipment malfunctions promptly to avoid disruptions.
• Collaborate with event coordinators and clients to meet specific AV requirements.
• Train junior staff on proper AV operational techniques and best practices.
• Test all equipment before, during, and after events and make real‑time adjustments as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum four (4) years of experience in live sound mixing and AV system maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated knowledge of live‑mixing techniques and equipment positioning.
• Ability to identify and resolve audio or lighting quality issues quickly.
