About the role

Amentum is seeking a professional Shuttle Bus Driver to provide reliable transportation for a US Navy program stationed on Diego Garcia. The role involves safely moving personnel between designated locations while adhering to strict schedules and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate shuttle buses on scheduled routes, ensuring on‑time pick‑up and drop‑off of passengers.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, log any mechanical issues, and maintain inspection records.
• Keep the shuttle clean and comfortable for passengers.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols, adapting routes as needed for road or weather conditions.
• Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and passengers regarding schedules and any operational issues.
• Assist passengers requiring special accommodations and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs, passenger counts, and mileage records.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of professional driving experience, preferably with shuttle or similar vehicles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or at‑fault accidents in the past five years.
• Valid passport for at least one year and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance.
• Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, comprehension).

Required skills

• Knowledge of traffic and safety regulations.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Preventative vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Vehicle inspection and documentation.
