About the role

Amentum is seeking a Pest Controller to support a US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The role involves performing routine pest control operations in unoccupied spaces, ensuring safe pesticide use, and complying with strict environmental and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine pest control operations during government working hours, excluding federal holidays.
• Apply pesticides using preventative, chemical, and non‑chemical methods to manage pest populations.
• Dispose of pesticides, rinse water, containers, and contaminated items in accordance with label directions and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of pesticide usage, storage, and disposal.
• Inspect work areas for pest‑related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Adhere to all safety and environmental protocols to prevent contamination and exposure risks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pest control operations, including safe pesticide handling.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pesticide safety guidelines and waste disposal techniques.
• Ability to work independently and schedule tasks within specified hours.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the deployment duration.
