Laborer – MWR Program Support

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Laborer to join Amentum’s team supporting the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program on Diego Garcia. The role involves providing friendly customer service, assisting with set‑up and breakdown of facilities, and ensuring a safe, clean environment for patrons.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver courteous, attentive service to MWR patrons, wearing the prescribed uniform and name tag.
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of recreational facilities and equipment.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and in compliance with operational standards.
• Handle and store hazardous materials according to CNICINST 1710.3 and related guidelines.
• Maintain current CPR certification and apply lifesaving techniques when needed.
• Participate in required safety training and follow all safety protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a customer‑facing role such as recreation, hospitality or similar.
• Fluent verbal and written English.
• Enthusiastic, responsive and service‑oriented attitude.
• Valid passport (minimum one year) and ability to obtain required visas.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout deployment.

Required skills

• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hiring).
• Knowledge of safe handling and storage of hazardous materials, or willingness to learn.
