IT Support Technician (Diego Garcia)

About the role

Amentum is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hardware and software support for a government contract on the remote island of Diego Garcia. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining workstations while ensuring compliance with all program and security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain PC hardware and workstations.
• Support user applications, troubleshoot Windows and Office issues.
• Execute touch‑labor tasks and on‑call support 24/7.
• Maintain records, reports, and training documentation in line with the Performance Work Statement.
• Ensure compliance with USG, international, and program guidelines.
• Adhere to safety policies and perform required inspections.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years experience in a Microsoft operating environment.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport, driver’s license, and meet PACOM medical requirements.
• Physical ability to stand long periods and lift up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• PC hardware installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Windows OS and Microsoft Office support.
• Cisco networking (CCNP, CCDP, CCIE).
• Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCDST, MCP).
• Security‑related certifications (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP) meeting DOD 8570.1M IAT‑1.
• CSWF Basic certification.
• Strong troubleshooting and on‑call support capabilities.
