Galley Warehouse Specialist – Food Logistics

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Galley Warehouse Specialist to support a unique U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role oversees all food warehouse operations, ensuring reliable logistics support for the assigned program.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate daily Class I warehouse and logistics operations.
• Maintain inventory accountability using FIFO procedures to minimize waste.
• Supervise logistics personnel, schedule work assignments and monitor performance.
• Conduct regular and special inventories, manage property transfers, receipts, issues and documentation.
• Update inventory records and logistics databases for accurate reporting.
• Research and analyze supply transactions, resolve discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare reports and respond to customer inquiries regarding inventory and supply status.
• Develop and revise local supply procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized warehouse environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
