Facility Maintenance Manager – POL Operations

About the role

Amentum is seeking a POL Facility Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and repair of fuel systems and related infrastructure for a critical U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures safe, reliable fuel supply operations through proactive planning, coordination, and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑range maintenance plans for fuel storage, transfer, and refueling facilities.
• Inspect utilities, structures, fire‑suppression systems, and miscellaneous POL support areas.
• Create and maintain spill‑prevention and countermeasure plans, ensuring rapid response to any incidents.
• Coordinate with contractor and government personnel across annexes to resolve operational issues.
• Supervise maintenance activities, monitor compliance with environmental, safety, and operational standards.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in bulk fuel management, both operational and managerial.
• Strong knowledge of spill prevention, countermeasure planning, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work safely with required personal protective equipment and report hazards proactively.
