Dishwasher – US Navy Support on Diego Garcia

About the role

Amentum is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures that all dining ware, utensils, and cookware are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for service, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Operate scullery machines according to manufacturer procedures and safety guidelines.
• Monitor and record washing cycle temperatures, maintaining accurate logs for compliance with NAVSUP sanitation standards.
• Perform manual washing of cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools when required.
• Store cleaned items in designated locations to keep the kitchen organized and efficient.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all washing equipment.
• Ensure no shortages of clean dining ware during meal periods.
• Support kitchen staff to prevent service disruptions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in food service or sanitation, including machine and manual washing.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to follow operating procedures and safety precautions.
• Capability to obtain and maintain required facility credentials.
