Utility Manager / Engineer (PE)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Utilities Manager (PE Engineer) to oversee all utility systems for a U.S. government contract on Diego Garcia. The role requires 24/7 on‑call availability and ensures compliance with contract, program and international requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage business and operations of all utility systems, ensuring they meet Performance Work Statement (PWS) and USG guidelines.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, conduct inspections and provide training as required.
• Be on‑call within one hour, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Ensure safety, quality and procedural compliance across all utility activities.
• Coordinate with multi‑national workforce in an austere OCONUS environment.

Required profile

• Registered Professional Engineer (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Environmental) licensed in a U.S. state/territory, or a BS in Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum five years managing utility systems of similar size and complexity.
• At least three years supervisory experience in an austere OCONUS setting.
• U.S. citizenship, valid passport (≥1 year) and ability to obtain facility credentials and visas.
• Ability to meet medical, security and deployment requirements for a remote overseas assignment.
