About the role
The UICAP Coordinator will lead the Utilities Infrastructure Condition Assessment Program (UICAP) for the Public Works Department supporting a critical US Navy installation on Diego Garcia. This position ensures program compliance, data integrity, and operational excellence across all UICAP phases.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee UICAP management and coordination at the PWD level, completing Phases 1‑4.
- Schedule and facilitate annual risk assessments and align them with PWD goals.
- Maintain Maximo™ data for all utility equipment and ensure proper linkage to iNFADS Plant Replacement Codes (PRCs).
- Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules in Maximo™.
- Update degradation indices, failure scenario scores, and asset inventories.
- Validate likelihood and consequence of failure scenarios and implement mitigations via the Utilities Risk Tool (URT).
- Prepare program documentation, risk assessments, mitigation plans, and long‑range capital plans.
- Collaborate with Real Property Accountability Officers to keep utilities inventory current.
- Draft Statements of Work, cost estimates, and perform quality‑assurance audits for UICAP contracts.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of experience in utilities, infrastructure assessment, or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate operational programs at a departmental level.
- Strong knowledge of Maximo™ and iNFADS systems.
